Manufacture of refined petroleum products
This group involves the production of refined petroleum products from crude oil and bituminous minerals, including various fuels and lubricants.
Includes
- Production of motor fuel such as gasoline and kerosene
- Production of light, medium, and heavy fuel oil, as well as refinery gases like ethane, propane, and butane
- Manufacture of oil-based lubricating oils or greases, including those made from waste oil
- Manufacture of products for the petrochemical industry and road coverings
- Manufacture of various products including white spirit, vaseline, paraffin wax, and petroleum jelly
- Manufacture of hard-coal and lignite fuel briquettes
- Manufacture of petroleum briquettes
- Blending of biofuels, such as alcohols with petroleum (e.g. gasohol)
