Wholesale Trade, Except Of Motor Vehicles And Motorcycles

This division covers wholesale trade activities, both domestic and international, where goods are resold without transformation. It includes various types of wholesalers and agents involved in the trade of new and used goods to businesses and other wholesalers.

Includes

  • Wholesale trade on own account or on a fee or contract basis (commission trade)
  • Resale of new and used goods to retailers and business-to-business trade
  • Merchant wholesalers who take title to the goods they sell
  • Industrial distributors, exporters, importers, and cooperative buying associations
  • Sales branches and sales offices maintained by manufacturing and mining units for marketing purposes
  • Merchandise and commodity brokers, commission merchants, agents, and assemblers
  • Cooperative associations engaged in the marketing of farm products
  • Activities such as physically assembling, sorting, grading, breaking bulk, repacking, storing, refrigerating, delivering, installing goods, and sales promotion
